Hi, I’m Sandy.

From very early on, I’ve always been a bit of a free spirit. I ran away from home a few times (just to see what the world had to offer, not because my parents were awful!) and once made friends with a homeless man who lived in the woods. My mum was thrilled about that one.

I grew up in Vienna, Austria, but since then I’ve lived in three different countries, and during my 17 years in London, I moved house 11 times. My mum says I’ve got ants in my pants; sitting still has never really been my thing.

I’ve recently settled in Glasgow, Scotland…though, true to form, I’m already planning the next move, this time to the Scottish Highlands with my partner.

My years in London really shaped me, both as a person and as a sleep coach. When you first qualify as a sleep consultant, the training is mainly theory. But after 22 years (and counting) of working hands-on as a nanny and maternity nurse, I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of families through every kind of sleep struggle. Those real-life experiences taught me things no textbook ever could, and they’ve helped me develop the creativity, empathy, and “think outside the box” problem-solving that’s so essential when working with little ones.

I’ve worked with families in every shape and form, single parents, same-gender couples, first-time parents, and those juggling newborns with toddlers. I’ve supported families through the return-to-work transition (when sleep often unravels), travelled with them across countries, and kept sleep routines going even on long car journeys, like one very memorable four-hour drive from Venice to Florence, wedged between suitcases and a baby seat, sound machine in one hand, “Goodnight Sleep Tight” memorised by heart.

During my nannying years, I often worked alongside sleep consultants who used “cry it out” methods, and I saw firsthand how those approaches affected babies and parents alike. That experience pushed me to look for a gentler, evidence-based way to help families find rest.

That’s what led me to qualify as a Holistic Sleep Coach, completing the OCN Level 6 training, the gold standard in sleep education. It opened my eyes to how much more there is to sleep than just…sleep. Temperament, iron levels, tongue ties, allergies, so many factors play a role and are often overlooked by traditional methods.

My approach is non-judgemental, down-to-earth, and completely tailored to you. I’m here to meet you where you are, no pressure, no guilt, just practical, science-backed strategies that fit your family’s values.

Helping families solve their child’s sleep challenges step-by-step is what I love most. It's like a puzzle to me, and solving it, scratches and itch. Because when everyone’s sleeping better, life feels lighter, calmer, and a whole lot more enjoyable.

If you’re ready to make some changes and feel like my approach resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

I’m a Holistic Sleep Coach (OCN Level 6) -a degree-level, evidence-based qualification and the most comprehensive training available in the UK. My studies also included specialist training in Sleep and Autism, Sleep and Allergy, Nutrition and Sleep, and SIDS and supporting bereaved parents.

Alongside that, I bring over 22 years of hands-on experience working as a nanny and maternity nurse, supporting families and children from newborn to school age. I hold a Maternity Nurse qualification (OCN Level 4) and a degree in Child Development from the University of Vienna.

And because I clearly like a challenge, I also have an MSc in Investigative Forensic Psychology - not particularly relevant to babies and sleep… but it does make me great at spotting patterns and solving mysteries!

My Sleep Coaching Style

Real Support

Think of me as your sleep coach, cheerleader, and sounding board. I’m down to earth, straight-talking, and never judgmental. I’ll guide you through each step, listen when it feels hard, and celebrate when things start clicking.

At the end of the day, I believe in finding what’s biologically normal, age-appropriate, and gentle, helping your child build lifelong healthy sleep habits while supporting their confidence, emotional well-being, and your family’s sanity.

Every Kid’s Different

No two kids are the same (wouldn’t that make life boring?). Every sleep plan I create is completely tailored - built around your child’s personality, your parenting style, and what a good night’s sleep actually looks like for you.

Gentle & Respectful

I don’t do “cry it out” or controlled crying. Ever. My approach is gentle, holistic, and responsive - helping your little one sleep better while keeping that strong sense of connection and security between you.

Rooted in Research

If you’ve been told 15 different things by Google, your friends, and your mum’s neighbour, I get it. I’ll help you cut through the noise with advice based on science, not internet myths, so you can stop guessing and start sleeping.
